Sale Shopping!

Hey guys, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Two hauls in a row! Im so sorry this is still late but better late than never! I have seen loads of posts of boxing day hauls recently so I thought I would post a small hall of what I have purchased in the post-Christmas sales. I didn’t buy much, but I bought something from one of my favourite clothes shops; Mango.

Mango have a great sale on at the moment so I ordered a lovely shirt/blouse I saw on their website. It is a black Mango Printed Shirt with a star print and I love it! It was £14.99 down from £19.99. It is so comfortable and I am so glad I ordered it. Here is another top from Mango I bought in France over the Summer whilst I was on holiday. It is the Mango Tie Print Top in dark red. This is also in the sale and since I haven’t posted about it I thought I would include it in this haul. I have the red version but there is also a navy top in the same style. This is only £8.99 in the sale and it is perfect for summer.

From Marks and Spencer’s I bought this Grey Lambswool Jumper, and it is so soft! This was half price in the sales from £29.50 to £14.50. It is very comfortable and it’s perfect just for casual clothes. I also bought this woolly jumper from Primark down £14 to £7! It is quite Chritmassy so will have to save it till next year. Lush also has a sale on, and all the Christmas stock was half price! So then I bought the beautiful Shooting Stars Bath Bomb which was down form £3.50 to £1.75! (it’s after Christmas so I can’t find the link on the Lush website sorry!) I’m not kidding when I say I have nine bath bombs/bubble bars form Lush at the minute. I know, I’m addicted! Then I bought another 2True Concealer from Superdrug in the shade ‘Medium’ which wasn’t in the sales, but mine was running out and it is a really good concealer and it is only £1.99 so I decided I would repurchase it.

Thats my haul! Have you picked up any bargains in the sales? By the way I will do a post on what I received for Christmas when I get round to it! Xx

Ps I’m so sorry about the photos, it was really late and I was desperate to get this post up as it was so late. I will take some better photos when I have more time.

Nail of the day!

Hi guys, sorry I haven’t posted for such a long time, I just felt like taking a break for a while. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year! I can’t believe it’s 2015 already. So, here’s a quick Nail of the day, and this is from Max Factor, I received this nail polish for my birthday form a friend and these are my first impressions . It is called the Max Factor Max Effect Nail Polish and it is the shade ‘Fantasy Fire’.It is a beautiful shade and it has amazing shimmer in it. It reminds me of a galaxy. It is a gorgeous purple colour but under different lights, you can see gold, red, pink and blue shimmer. It is a very small bottle which is quite expensive for its £3.99 price. This is the first Max Factor products I have tried and I like it. The colour is just beautiful but it is a very thin nail polish and it takes about 3 or 4 coats to turn opaque. It looks amazing in the bottle but you have to paint quite a few layers to achieve the same effect. Also, as the battle is so small, the brush is very thin. Although, I have had mine on for a few days with a top coat and it has lasted quite well. Overall, it is a lovely nail polish but you need lots of layers, as it is very watery. I would recommend this nail polish as I love the colour and it is reasonably long lasting. There are lots of other colours in this range too so I would have to try some more before I can judge the whole range. PS The photos were really hard to take as I had awful lighting and they definitely don’t do this amazing colour justice so I will take some more photos when I have more time! Xx

Quick Christmas Haul!

Hey guys, happy Christmas Eve, Here’s a quick Christmas haul for you, I went shopping, and I thought I would show you what I bought.

From Primark, I was looking for some pyjama bottoms, and I spotted these amazing Mickey Mouse Pyjama bottoms! I think they had a Mickey Mouse range there, but I the sizes were all way too big for me, but then I spotted these. They are red, white and black tartan print, with a cute Mickey Mouse face on them! I love Mickey Mouse and these were only £8, so I’m so glad I bought them. I have worn them already and they are really comfortable.

Then, I went to Marks and Spencers to buy a Christmas Jumper, and I found this lovely sweatshirt. It was a third off all the Christmas Jumpers so it worked out at £14. I wrote a whole post on it here, if you are interested.

Then I went to Lush, to see their Christmas range, and I had a few products in mind, that I wanted to buy. I have already bought some of their Christmas range, which I did a post on here. So, I went round and decided on hese two products. I had heard good reviews on the Cinders bath bomb, and it sounded really warm and spicy. It contains popping candy and it is a lovely golden colour. It was £2.50. Then I bought the Christmas Eve bubble bar, which I am saving for tonight. It is a circle shape with a lovely moon on it, and it smells amazing. It contains jasmin absolute, and it smells really relaxing and calming. I bought this last year aswell! This is £2.95.

I hope you enjoyed my last minute Christmas haul! Have a great Christmas!

Christmas jumpers!

Hey guys, everyone seems to be wearing christmas jumpers lately, it has turned into a bit of a craze! I didn’t own one until the other day when I started looking at them in Primark, Asos and Marks and Spencer’s, but most of the ones I liked were out of stock already. But, I found this beautiful Christmas jumper in M&S on Monday, and it was in the right size, so I bought it! M&S had a third off all their Christmas jumpers so this was only around £14 down from £20. This is the M&S Sequin Embellished Bauble Christmas Jumper, but it is more like a sweatshirt.

It is very soft and comfortable, and I love the bauble design, as it makes a change from the usual fair isle print that more Christmas Jumpers seem to have. It is a black sweatshirt, with three sequin baubles sewn on in red, green and silver, and it is very Christmassy. Marks still have a few sizes in stock so I would definitely pick on up if you don’t own one already! I really like this jumper, as it is a it different, it is really comfortable and it looks lovely on! I will definitely be eating this on Christmas day and I wore it on Christmas jumper day yesterday! I also love this jumper which I have seen on the H&M website, if you are more keen on the traditional fair isle, woolly jumper.

Do you have a Christmas jumper? Let me know in the comments below… Xx

Lush Melting Snowman Review!

Hey Guys, today I am going to review this adorable bath melt from Lush. It is called The Melting Snowman Bath Melt and it is £2.25, which is quite cheap considering Lush’s usual prices! This is a bath melt so it is meant to leave your skin really smooth and moisturised after you use it. I halved it and I managed to get two uses out of it. It contains cocoa butter, which smells really sweet and vanillery and it also leaves your skin feeling moisturised, although it wasn’t really as moisturising as I would have liked. I mainly bought it for the scent, it is really spicy and christmassy. It also contains cinnamon, cloves, orange oil, lime oil and patchouli oil, and it smells divine. It is one of my favourite products from Lush and I think it is really cute. I have used it all up and I might stock up on a few more as they are just for christmas! It even ha little chocolate chips for buttons, how cool! I would really recommend this bath melt, and if you haven’t picked this one up already, I would advise you to! What’s your favourite product form the Lush Christmas range? Xx

Christmas Gift Guide: Stocking Fillers

Hey Guys, I thought I would do a gift guide to stocking fillers, which are, in my opinion, the best gifts! All of these ideas are budget friendly as they are all under £10! All these presents would be really nice for friends and family or for a secret santa, which are always difficult to buy for. Most of these items are from places like Lush or Boots…

1. Lush Golden Wonder £3.75 I love the present shape of this bath bomb, scented with lime and orange oil, it is a Christmas Classic at Lush. Also, it is under £5, so it is a great present or secret santa. It is in a awesome present shape with a bow, and it is covered in gold shimmer.

2. The Body Shop Christmas Soaps 2.50 These three soaps are scented with TBS’s Christmas scents which are; Glazed apple, Vanilla Brullee and Frosted cranberry. I would love to receive one of these in my stocking and I think it is a really cute christmas idea, I have used the Body Shop’s soap before and they are really good quality.

3. Nivea Mini Treats Baubles £4.50 These look really cool, I love the metal bauble, I have just bought one of these today as a present and there are two, one for men which contains a moisturiser, deodorant and shave balm in mini sizes. The women’s bauble contains; a lip balm, deodorant and moisturiser also in sample size. the baubles can be reused afterwards and they have a really nice design on, so I think this wold be a lovely gift to receive.

4. Salted Caramel Yankee Candles All yankee Candles in general look and smell great, but this looks particularly good! The small jars are £8 so it is still under the £10 limit! This would be a lovely gift, Yankee also have some specific Christmas candles such as gingerbread, which sounds divine! If you are just looking to spend under £5, they do wax tarts and votives sizes for all their candles which are a lot cheaper.

5. Peek A Boo Cakes Cook Book £7.99 You can find this in Lakeland and it is such a cute book, filled with recipes for cakes with suprse fillings, I just think its a really cool idea and they look amazing. By the way, if you like the idea but want a cheaper version, The Works do a similar book called Hidden Surprise Cakes for much cheaper.

6. Blue Topshop Toadstool Mug £10 How cool is this!!! I love this idea, it’s a little bit quirky, and the colour is beautiful. It is bang on £10, so its at the higher end of the spectrum but it is so cool that it’s definitely worth it. There is also a green one, but it is currently out of stock.

There you go! I hope this helps you when you start to buy Christmas presents, if you have any more ideas, you can post them in comments below, I would love to hear your ideas! Xx

Lush Christmas 2014!

Hey Guys, I thought I would do an overview of all the amazing Lush Christmas range, and the products I chose! I was so excited about the Lush Christmas range and there were a few old favourites released, such as Snow Fairy and Golden Wonder. Also, there were several new products and all of them were really cute! I was impressed with the huge variety of christmas themed stock they had, from bath bombs, to shower gel. I bought a few of the following products when shopping in Lush and the others I received from family on my birthday.

Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb £3.50

I’m not sure if this is a Christmas of Halloween product but I love it anyway! The scent is gorgeous, very autumnal and spicy. I love the colour and it meant to be wine coloured on the inside! The cute star print on the top is also really cool. I like this as the scent is quite different and I love the design. I’m not sure if this is a Halloween or Christmas product so I can’t find the link sorry.

Melting Snowman Bath Melt £2.25

This is by far my favourite! I have used half of this so far and oh my goodness, it is amazing. One of my favourite ever Lush products! I might have to pick up a few more… How can you resist when he is this cute? The scent is a delicious, spicy, Christmassy scent. It smells so good! It contains cinnamon, cloves and orange oil.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel 250ml (from £3.50 for 100ml)

I have heard so many people talk about this so when I received it for my birthday I was so happy! It isn’t really a Christmassy scent, but it is a really sweet scent, a but like candy or candy floss. It is bright pink and has cute blue shimmer in it. It is a great shower gel and one of Lush’s most famous products. It contains Carrageenan extract, whatever that is!

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar £2.75

This is so cute, it looks like a mini candy mountain, just as the name suggests! It is one of the cheaper products from Lush, and this contains vanilla absolute and smells similar to Snow Fairy. I love this as it is really shimmery, and if you like the Rock Star soap and the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar (which is another of my Lush favourites) . This is abubble bar, which tend to be my favourite product from Lush as they are really easy to use and they make your bath smell divine (depending on which one you get).

Thats a quick review of the products I have bought so far, I will update you if I buy anymore. On my wish list, there is Star Light, Star Bright Bath Melt, the Butter Bear Bath Bomb and The Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb, which looks like an explosion of colour! I hope you enjoyed this post, Have you picked anything up form the Lush Christmas range?  PS I have finally figured out how to use hyperlinks!! Xx

Quick NOTD!

Hey guys, just a quick NOTD to show this ever so simple nail art (if you could call it that). I just painted all of my nails two coats of one colour and did a line of dots using a cocktail stick along each hand on my accent nail finger. It was really easy to do, although on the other hand it was more tricky as I am right handed, so it was slightly more messy. You could alternatively of this with a black nail art pen, as it would be much easier, I would really like to get Barry M’s Nail Art Pen in black.

For this particular look, I used mint green and black, but it would work with any two colours. The polishes are Maybelline’s 7 Day Gel Nail Polish in ‘Mint For Life’ £4.49 and Barry M’s Nail Paint in ‘Black’ £2.99. I think a black nail polish is great to have as it is useful for nail art and I just paint my nails black a lot! I love the Maybelline nail polish, it really is long lasting, and it is very shiny. I also love the Barry M Nail Paint which I have been just wearing on its own. I would recommend both of these nail polishes and I am really impressed with the Maybelline polish, as it is great quality. Have you tried this look? Xx

Huge haul

Hey guys I have been meaning to do this haul for ages, it started off with a few things I had bought but as I left it the amount of things grew every time I went shopping! It is mainly stuff from Lush, Boots and Superdrug. All this stuff is over a few weeks and it’s mostly bath stuff, beauty and some other stuff too!

I loved the look of their festive christmas range and I only bought one thing last year so this year I bought; The Lord Of Misrule Bath bomb, I thought this was a Halloween bath bomb and I was really annoyed I didn’t buy it but then I saw it yesterday and picked it up for £3.50. It is a lovely green colour with a cool start printed on it and it is meant to have a wine coloured centre. I love the smell of this, it is really different and the start design is really christmassy. Also from their Christmas range I bought The Melting Snowman Bath melt. How cute is this guy?! It was only £2.25 which is quite good for Lush prices, and the spicy Christmas scent is amazing! I have never tried a bath melt before so I lam really looking forward to using it. Finally, not from the Christmas line I bought The Sunnyside Bubble bar, I admit this was a complete impulse buy, but this is one of my favourites from Lush. I love the beautiful gold glitter and the citrus scent is really refreshing. I should be able to get around 4 uses out of it if I split it and for £3.75 that isn’t too expensive. I personally find the bubble bars from Lush are better value than the bath bombs as you can get more use out of them.

From Boots I need some new shampoo and I have heard good things about the fairly new Garnier Ultimate Blends range so I picked up the shampoo and conditioner for normal hair, it is called The Shine Revitaliser. It is ok, I might review it soon. These were half price so they were only £1.94 each. I also bought a replacement Simple Kind To Skin Light Moisturiser as I really like Simple and I had run out of my old one. This will be good as my skin can be dry in Winter as it so cold! I’m not sure how much this is but I’m sure you will be able to find it in Boots.  Then, I got another eyeshadow from Natural Collection as I was impressed with the last one. I bought the Natural Collection Solo Eyeshadow in Lavender and I have used it once and it was really good quality and it was only £1.99, I would recommend their eyeshadows ad the two I have are very good.

Then from Superdrug I found a beautiful 2True Matte Lipstick in Shade 6 which is a beautiful dark purple/plum. I have been wanting a dark, berry autumnal lipstick for ages and this is perfect although it is quite bold.  love the packaging of this and it was just £1.99. Then I bought a black nail polish as I have been needing one for ages. I chose the Barry M Nail Paint in Black and it is great quality for £2.99. This is really good and I have used it loads since I bought it, especially for nail art.

My dad went to America recently and I asked him to bring me back one of the Baby Lips in Grapevine which I have been wanting for over a year! He got this from Walmart for $3.99 and we don’t have it here in the UK. I love the Baby Lips range from Maybelline and I have a few of the other ones in ‘Hydrate’, ‘Peach Kiss’ and one of the Electro Balms in ‘Berry Bomb’.

Thats all guys, sorry for the ridiculously long post, I told you I bought a lot! Have great weekend, what have you been buying recently? Xx

PS Do you like the festive background?! X

New releases!

Hey Guys, their have been some fairly new releases, so I though I would let you know about them. First off, MUA has released a new range called ‘Pro-Base Prime and Conceal’ which features a powder and palette which has 4 colours, yellow, green, purple, and orange! I know it sounds weird but it is meant to cancel out redness etc. It would be really interesting to see if it actually works. Both the powder and palette are £4 each. MUA have also released several new ‘MUA Baked Eyeshadow Trios’ which have some beautiful colours, my favourites are probably ‘Emotions’ and ‘Theatrics’. These are £2.50 each but £3 for the merged eyeshadow trios. MakeUp Revolution never seem to cease coming up with new products and they have not disappointed, I have seen several rave reviews on these ‘Blush and Bronzer Sticks’ these are £5 each and they have several matte and shimmer shades. Some of them look very bold but if applied sparingly I think these are really cool, I really like the Nars style packaging. £5 for a blush is not too expensive and these look really cool! Last but not least, not really in the budget range but this just looks really stylish and the packaging is really nice and sleek, its the Urban Decay ‘On The Run’ set which is a set of five eyeshadows, a highlighter, blush, bronzer, mini Perversion mascara, mini 24/7 Glide-On eye pencil and Naked lipgloss, which is perfect if you are on the run. The problem is my budget doesn’t really stretch to £37! It is limited edition and I have already seen some good reviews. I hope you liked this post, please comment below, I would love to know your opinion, do you have any of these products? Xx
